TIMBERTHERM FROM INTERWALL FLOORING uses the latest in nano-carbon infrared technology to create a unique alternative to conventional heating systems. Unlike traditional heating systems which rely on air movement to heat the surrounding area, infrared heating works by direct heat transfer. This method of heating warms objects directly (walls, floors, people), without creating air currents or raising dust particles. This creates a more pleasant and consistent ambient temperature and a more cost-effecting heating solution.


Strips of nano-carbon conductors are embedded at the core of our wooden flooring. When switched on, far infrared rays that are invisible to the naked eye are dispersed into the conductors, generating enough heat underneath the floor to keep your home warm and cosy.


Some people still expect underfloor heating to be expensive to run. The reality is that both the initial installation and ongoing running costs can represent great value for money.

Nanocarbon Technology


Ready for the science part? An allotrope of carbon, nano carbon is formed of atoms linked in hexagonal shapes, with each carbon atom covalently bonded to three other carbon atoms. Nano carbon is strong and flexible; it can be bent, and when released, it will spring back into its original shape.
