Herringbone Parquet

For centuries parquet flooring has been a status symbol with its opulent design and the large variety of patterns and styles available.

The difficulty of installation where it requires a high degree of skill and can sometimes be considered close to art also contributed to the high regard of parquet.

With typical Herringbone the wood blocks are aligned at a 45-degree angle to the walls whereas with diagonal herringbone the pattern is diagonal to the room and the blocks are aligned directly with walls.

Herringbone is the most popular type of pattern found in UK properties for parquet block hardwood flooring and commonly found in many homes and buildings which are applied in a single or double format with a double border.

Parquet Patterns that can be applied to parquet block floors are: Diagonal Herringbone, Single Herringbone, Double Herringbone, Triple Basket Weave, Dutch Basket, Brick
