Jatoba Wood Flooring

Sourced from the warm climates of South America, Jatoba is an exotic wood that is becoming increasingly more popular in hardwood floors.

This wood has a beautiful orange colour that contrasts with its dark grey-brown streaks that create its sought-after distinctive look.

Sometimes called Brazilian Cherry, it is actually not related to the Cherry family at all although it does share some of the stunning natural colours that has probably earned its nickname. Jatoba wooden floors will add a colourful and very distinctive look for your new wood floor.

Maples & Birch ethically only sell Jatoba that is milled from trees sourced from sustainable ethical farmed forests which are regulated by ethical environmental groups/bodies that govern the planets valuable environmental forests.

Jatoba is not as uncommon as some of our exotic wood floorings but it is still not an easily available wood. We have one of the largest selections of species of wood flooring available and so have a large variety of Jatoba flooring including Parquet, Engineered and Solid Wood. Because of how dense it is, Jatoba can be a hard wood to work with.

This is probably why it is not often found in furniture. For a more exclusive looking wooden floor that stands out with its bright colours, Jatoba could be the perfect wooden flooring to use in your refurbishment.
